Newbie wants gun info.

Question:

Can anyone recommend to me a good beginner rifle for whitetail hunting?  I have just discovered an interest in the sport and have limited money to invest. Thanks! If you know a reputable dealer, look for a good used bolt action Ruger,  Winchester, or Remington rifle in .308, .270, or 30.06.  Don’t get one with a  scope, as used scopes can have problems.  When you get a little extra money,  you can get a good scope at a discount from Midway Distributors (800) 243-3220. Didn’t give us too much info, but in general probably can not go wrong with a  used post 64 Win M-94 or Marlin 336 in .30-30. One of the best choices you’ll find is a Savage 110 in .308 Win.. These rifles are accurate and very reasonably priced. They come out of the box with a heavy trigger but it can be adjusted. Check your local K-Mart for sale prices. If youre on a budget look at a used 30-30. I see them at stores in good shape for $150 or so. If you have a shotgun already, just get some sabot slugs. Contrary to popular belief, you dont need a 7mm Mag to drop a deer. You may find something in a .223 or .270 or for a good price as well.
