Looking for 36 caliber shotgun

Question:

I believe you are referring to the Winchester Model 36 bolt action single shot which was made in a 9mm short, long shot, and ball caliber, from 1920 and discontinued in 1927. There were just over 20,000 made. It was the only 9mm shotgun ever made in the US. Others were made in Europe. Source: Watrous, The History of Winchester Firearms 1866-1966. # 36 caliber shotgun. Hmmmm, this must be one of those new fangled Canadian # guns that your allowed to have with their gun laws. You can have it # because it doesn’t exist. # Brian # : A friend of mine is looking for a 36 caliber shotgun. Preferably pump or # : automatic. I have a single barrel type and use it for target shooting. Is # : there any one who could help me to locate one? Wrong-o, Brian.  See page 406 of "Cartridges of the World", 1997. # I think that someone is pulling your leg. A 36 guage shotgun is most often # called a .410 cal shotgun. While "Cartridges of the World" does not list a 36 gauge shell, it does show a 360 Centerfire.  But Mr. Madenli inquired about a 36 <caliber>, not a 36 <gauge>- a big difference. A .410 is a 68 gauge; a 360 CF, a 99 gauge. # There are many of them available. I would not # recommend one however because their patterns are terrible, and the long shot # string makes for weird results when shooting at moving game. Absolutely right. #If you want to # compete with other .410 shooters….ok but for hunting you would be better # off getting a 28 gauge shotgun. But do they still make 28 gauge shotgun???? Oh, yes. They still do, but the results tend to be expensive. Supply and demand, and all that.

# #A friend of mine is looking for a 36 caliber shotgun. Preferably pump or # #automatic. I have a single barrel type and use it for target shooting. Is # #there any one who could help me to locate one? Actually a .410 is an 87 gauge shotgun. Remember that from my hunter’s safety class. Brian
