I just can't help but ask.
Question:
So, did all those who stocked up for Y2K have enough ammo (and replacement barrels for burn-outs), to hold off the rioting masses and enough water and fuel to make it through the first few days?
Any sales of MREs going on lately BTW? Barnum really was right, huh. (Y2K, the trouble so frightening, no one dare spell it correctly!) Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at: http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/

Hey — any excuse to add a new gun to the collection is a good excuse. Gene Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at: http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/

My wife asked me on Friday if I had enough bullets…ho ho ho…now I’ll have to make sure I have plenty all the time. Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at: http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/

As I told my wife; see I got the new gun, word got out and no one messed with us. Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at: http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/

There is no way I would have been able to talk my wife into purchasing 5000 rounds of .223 if it were not for the y2k hype. God bless the millennium. <original post snipped as per moderator rules Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at: http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/

Should we start an auction site for new "used" generators? Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at: http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/

I’m kindof ashamed to say but… I didn’t have to go out and but any of the things the dooms sayers were recommending. I already had alot of that stuff just on the shelves. MRE’s – I always throw one in my hunting backpack along with a chem-heater. Bottled water – couple of gallons on the shelf in the garage never hurt before Y2K. Generator – the 26 yr. old Wards unit still works! (remember Jimmy Carter?) Shotgun – "nothing quite gets an intruders attention as the sound of a 12 ga. pump being cycled" propane – I always keep a spare 20lb. cyl out back for when the gas grill quits on me… You’d think I was one of those "militant" types with all that stuff at the ready…sheesh! Funny how stereotypes get started! Have a happy and "gameful" new year everyone… Paul S. Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at: http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/
