I think they have a web site–I may even have a link to them on my "Gun Stuff" or my "Hunting Stuff" page (top URL in my .signature). — Best regards, Charlie "Older than dirt" Sorsby Wheeling, WV "I’m the NRA!" I recall reading a technique that might help you out. Years ago there was an illustrated magazine article that showed how you could drill a couple of holes into the end of a buttstock, then take one or more slices of wood off the end of the stock with a bandsaw to shoten it. The bandsaw has a thin blade, so there is only a small kerf. Later, when you want to make the buttstock longer, you put the pieces back using dowels in those holes you drilled to get the whole thing to line up. Never tried, seems like it could work, hope it helps. Cheers! Joe – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > I am looking at a old Winchester mod 59 that a friend has, it is a single > shot .22. The Winchester 59 rifle was made only in 1930 and in few numbers– less than 10,000. I wouldn’t cut the stock as it might detract the stock had already been ruined by a guy who sawed a notch in the side to bolt in a steel plate to which he attached a cheap scope. It was a crummy POS when I got it, so I threw away the stock and ordered a replacement from Fajen which fit nicely. I hear that Fajen has gone out of business, though.
