You didn’t tell us where you live.   My methods are to haunt the larget gun shows, specifically the booths that specialize in antique ammo.   You might try The Old Western Scrounger on the net. There are custom ammo makers that will cook up about anything. Its not cheap, but once you get the brass, they can easily reload it for you.  To keep an old rifle shooting, you really only need a box or two.   I assume you are not a reloader yourself.   Its not a bad way to go.  You can buy cheap or used components, then locate a set of dies.  Its not a black art.  The alternative is to find a shop or gunsmith near you that provides this service.   When I was young, I had 20 45-70 cases that were fired at least a couple of dozen times each.   Poverty due to youthfulness didn’t keep me from shooting.   It did warp my mind.  Now I scrounge all brass. You will lean to not casually eject shell casings on the ground. The best shows I’ve seen are the CADA shows – run a circuit from St. Paul to Chicago to Denver to Cincinnati.  About one per year. Since I didn’t give you any real leads above, just general rules, try calling Reese or Charles at Antique and Modern firearms, 1-859-276-1419 and tell them your problem.  They are very helpful.   Maybe not cheap, but good. I am (together with a research group) about to enter a research project, where we will be observing and filming reindeer. Our main purpose is to get more information on wild reindeers, but we will also include commercial interests. On earlier occasions (projcects on predators) we have used dead animals to attract the predators, and we have already thought about the idea of putting out fodder to the reindeers. However, this would most certainly attract a whole colony of sheeps in the area, and it would spoil everything. The question is ; Is there some sort of material that attracts reindeers quickly, some aroma that the reindeers react on instantly ?
