unloading T/C BLK Diamond
Question:
I have a 50 cal in-line.I shoot T/C saboted bullets (44 cal pistol). I’ve tried to use the E-Z unloader and was told by the Traditions people that it doesn’t work w/ sabots. I have experianced friends that say it DOES work. Can anyone help me with this? Is there a way to unload the T/C w/saboted bullets without removing the plug at the rear? Thanks. I’d ask T/C instead of a competitor about unloading your Black Diamond. Those of us who use a patched round ball attach a ball puller accessory to the end of our ram rod, drop it down the bore, screw it into the ball, and pull it from the barrel. If that doesn’t work with saboted pistol bullets maybe that’s another reason not to mess with them. Good hunting! T/C has a compressed air unloader using CO2 cartridges, and can be used for both regular muzzleloaders and inlines. I have one and works great on my T/C Hawken but I shoot round balls. My buddy shoots sabots in his Traditions and it works for his too. It even gets out stuck cleaning ram-rods, but make sure you point it in a safe direction. It’s like a compressed air spear gun! And if you have a T/C (Thompson Center) rifle, you should talk to them, not Traditions.
