Tree stands – Which one is best???
Question:
,SNIP.I need one that is easy to climb, comfortable and that I can use for both bow and rifle. I haven’t found any good comparisons in any of magazines or on the net. So I figured I would let you experts out there help me out….. >Please let me know what you think.
Unless the area that you hunt has lots of trees with bare trunks may I make an alternate suggestion? I hunt northern Wisconsin and have found that when using a climbing stand, I had to do a lot of limb trimming. I went to using an API Baby Grand strap on style stand and a climbing stick. I’ve found that it’s a lot quieter to set up, quieter and easier to get into, I don’t get as sweated up getting into the tree and it’s more comfortable than most climbers. Best of all, even though I had to buy two different components, I paid less than most climbing stands. but that’s just me, — Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at: http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/

I live on the NY/PA border and am looking to buy a good climbing treestand. I am just getting back into hunting after many years of knee problems (just got the damn thing replaced!!!). I am getting my courage up to get a tree stand. The last one I used was a Baker that I had about twenty years ago. Alot has changed since then.
