Savage Scout
Question:
Does anybody out there have a new Savage Scout? If so, how do you like it? Has Savage’s triggers improved? It looks like a real sweet gun. I want one, but I will have to wait until they make one in Left Hand. I have been writng to Ronald Coburn (president & CEO of Savage) trying to persuade him into making a lefthand Scout. Held its own against mouse guns on a rifle course and a sweetie in the field. : Has Savage’s triggers improved? Nope. But they’re not too bad once you adjust them properly. : It looks like a real sweet gun. Leave poor Ron in peace and call Savage’s Custom Shop (same 800 number, then press 3 for customer service and ask for the Custom Shop). They’ll trick you out with a nice Lefty, with a third sling stud and all metal parts– just ask. Mine was little more than the cost of the RH including shipping to my dealer. If you order your spare mags at the same time, they’ll hand fit ‘em to the rifle too. Warm Hearth!
