Leupold Scope Rings
Question:

Makes sense to me, what if you break the scope on a hunt. That way you still have the sights to fall back on [provided you have sighted in the sights with the ammo]. I used to have one rifle with the sights removed until I put back the factory see thru mounts. While it sure does look nice NOT having the sights on I"d rather have the dual capability. Personally I’d only remove the sights on a specialty gun [IE:varmint, benchrest, silhouette] — Richard J. I just had a fantastic experience. I received some technical advice from Leupold recently concerning the height of scope rings I needed for my Rem 700 BDL. As it turned out the information was incorrect. I emailed them and explained that I had purchased low scope rings as they suggested and they were incorrect. The next day through overnight express there were new scope rings. What a great company. Two weeks ago I was in the market for a new Leupold scope 3-9X40. I found there web page and asked a question on the height I needed for my Rem 700 BDL. I was told that low rings were the ones I should get. I ordered them through Cabelas and in three days they had arrived. The rings were too low and hit the rear sight. I informed the company and in less than one week new rings had arrived with the right height. What a fantastic company Leupold is. I even offered to send the low rings o them and they said no. It’s not often you find companies like this.
