I am looking for information or references regarding the process of hunting bear. As specific as possible. I’m an actor and will be playing a bear hunter in Ibsen’s When We Dead Awaken. 1. Be sure to use a rifle that’s way under-powered for it. It will look better on-screen. 2. Be sure to shoot way more bullets than the rifle holds – ‘real’ bear hunters know how to stuff in ten or twenty more. 3. Make a lot of noise, and talk to your sidekick/cohort often. Bears have almost no hearing, so you’ll be able to get some greate dialog in. 4. Be sure and explain everything to your sidekick/cohort in great detail.
