Burris Handgun Scope Opinions Sought

Question:

I am looking at the possibility of  putting a Burris 2×7 variable on a .454 Casull.  I am curious to know if anyone out there has experience with this scope on hard recoiling cartridges. Personally I use Leupold but among the handcannon shooters I believe that the Burris and Leupold are the only scopes that will take the pounding.  Others are fine rifle scopes but can’t take the recoil of a handgun without breaking parts.  You might want to consider a 3 ring mount setup as well just to be sure the thing is steady.
