That seems unacceptable.  I suggest you contact Browning directly for attention.  If you are using ordinary, conventional, ammunition it would indicate a defective magazine or a defective design.  Hopefully, a replacement magazine is all it will take to cure the problem.      First of all, you have to put the shells in the magazine pointy end forward.  Make absolutely certain the cartridges match the gun.     Someone may have cleaned the gun and re-assembled it with the magazine follower spring in there backwards.  Look at the "exploded view" of your owners manual to make sure it’s right.      Browning makes decent guns.  The ejection port on some short-action models may appear to be shorter than a loaded cartridge, and sometimes scope mounts cover part of the ejection port.  Make sure the bolt is fully retracted and slide the cartridge base all the way to the rear of the magazine, then depress it till it clicks in.  The rounds will stagger left and right.  Cartridge overall length is strictly monitored by the factory and handloaders.      Cartridges slip into the magazine like butter. I still think your magazine follower spring is in there backwards. Visit the rec.hunting and rec.hunting.dogs FAQ Home Page at:         http://sportsmansweb.com/hunting/

I just bought myself a Browning Euro Boss. Here is my opinion: The rifle is perfect, except the magazine. It is too short – the bullets with normal length do not fit in! 1 is ok, when load it with 2, it may not loosen the cartridges at all! 3 and 4 are not worth mentioning, the magazine fits 4. It seems when hunting, I have to start choosing cartridges with shorter bullets? Has anyone experienced such kind a problem and can it be removed easily? Thanks, r. Thanks, What caliber did you purchase?  The Brownings with their removable blind box magazine come in various caliber’s and some are interchangeable.  You might have the wrong caliber magazine in the gun.  Check it out or return it to where you purchased it and ask for a new magazine to test load the clip.
