.260 caliber??

: Hello everyone. I hunt whitetail deer in the texas hill country. I am looking : at buying either a ruger or thompson encore rifle in .260 caliber. First, has : anybody shot the .260 and how accurate is it? Second, does anybody own an : encore rifle and how accurate is it? Im thinking on an encore rifle and pistol : package thing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is not a flame, but more in humor… I always have to laugh when I read a post like this, where someone decides that they want such and such a caliber, then ask other people how good is it. If you don’t know the attibutes of the caliber, why do you want it in the first place.
