One one hand, I’m happy that we don’t get more recognition for the excellent opportunities here on Oregon.  It is hard enough to get tags now.  On the other hand, we have lots to share, in terms of variety.  Hard to have it both ways. Oregon hunting is just as good if not equal to most other states. Providing your not after a trophey… We do have some big deer, Mule, Black Tale.  The White Tail is not as sought after as the eastern or southern states.   We have Turkey, rio’s in abundance.  Big horns, goats, elk, Antelope, bear, and tons of foul are all here in Oregon. My problem is that we don’t even get recognized in any magazines except in someone send in a picture or two.   I once watched "Buck Masters" and they had a hunt in Oregon, but it was for pheasants and they failed to mention anything about the rest of what this state can offer. Enough of my soap box… Maybe some of you feel this way about your state as well. We’ll from the results of my previous post it seems that oregon is not the ideal state for hunting.  I would prefer to hunt in texas seeing that i know where and when to go.  In oregon,  I don’t know where and when to go.  I am looking for help in finding out where to hunt and when.  I want to hunt blacktail deer, waterfowl, upland birds, and maybe elk.  Please provide some info. on where to go specifically near eugene.  How can i get on-line in eugene?  Thanks for the help David

I would help you, but I can’t get an e-mail to you (returns to me undeliverable) and I don’t want to bore everyone on the list.  Give me your true E-mail address and I’ll get you alot of info!  You’ll like hunting in Oregon. Tim M/OR
