Finding a Lab breeder
Question:
Can anyone help me find a Lab breeder in the Houston area? I wrote The labrador breeder club and got their handout, but there aren’t any listed for Houston. I really want to find a reputable breeder and local vets so far don’t have alot of info. Thanks a bunch.

Try Working Retriever Central’s classifieds (you’ll have to screen for "reputable" yourself, the adds there are free) at www.working-retriever.com Also, there’s a web page called Field and Hunting Retriever and one called Retriever World (sorry, don’t have the url’s), and I bet if you do a search, you’ll come up with more. BTW, all these I listed are for field retriever enthusiasts – make sure that’s what you want. They are almost a different breed from show labs. Field labs my not be the most beautiful, and can be a little hyper, but they’re generally smarter than the average bear and pretty physically sound, as a general rule.
