CA Quail?

Almost anywhere in the Sierra Nevada range…especially around the Tahoe Basin.  You’ll find lots of C alifornia Quail and Mountain Quail.  My favorite spots are around the Susanville Area…noty because of the birds…more about the atmosphere and restaraunts. Thanks for the info, I live in Riverside and had thought about the Big Bear area although was unsure what parts were open to hunting.  What is the best contact to find out that info ? I guess it depends on where you live in CA? I lived in So. Cal for many years and have hunted Quail from Lancaster to Big Bear. There are large numbers near Silverwood Lake near Hesperia. Good areas throughout, you just need to find the public lands or contact the landowners. Most areas are so wide open that if you avoid houses, most people don’t bother you. Good Luck!!
